Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a hot topic in the tech industry. Perhaps more than our daily lives AI is impacting the business world more. There was about $9.3 Billion in venture capital invested in AI start-ups in 2018, a 300% increase than a year before. AI is the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs.

Artificial Intelligence is related to the similar task of using computers to understand human intelligence, but AI does not have to confine itself to methods that are biologically observable. ML is a subset of AI.

ML is a science of designing and applying algorithms that are able to learn things from past cases. If some behaviour exists in past, then you may predict if or it can happen again. Means if there are no past cases then there is no prediction.

Training objectives is to
  1. To familiarize with AI and explore ML libraries and the fundamentals of image processing.
  2. To familiarize Xilinx System Generator for DSP that enables designers to develop high-performance DSP systems
  3. To study the recent engineering problems in data processing and image processing.
  4. To evolve effective optimized algorithm on image processing problems.
  5. To develop new methods and algorithms for training, effective teaching and research.
  6. To implement image processing algorithms.
  7. To discuss the various technique and applications in image processing, speech processing, video processing, etc.
  8. To train faculties for exploring research opportunities and carryout innovative interpretations.
  9. To equip faculties with skills and knowledge in the field of computer vision, speech processing, image processing and video processing which are essential for inculcating learning values in students, guiding and monitoring their progress towards their career.

Participants are able to
  1. Use MATLAB for Machine learning in image processing.
  2. Discover and apply knowledge of neural networks and multi-layer neural networks.
  3. Attain good knowledge about the theory behind central classification algorithms, logistic regression, and neural nets and how these are applied to images.
  4. Evaluate different feature extraction methods affect the classification error rate and know how convolutional networks work and how they can be adapted to various applications.
  5. Experience in using Simulink tools for deep learning, AI and designing various algorithms.
  6. Understands System generator design flow and model based design.
  7. Able to implement the design from Mat lab to custom logic in FPGA.
  8. Design various models like MAC, FIR, IIR, and various algorithms using system generator and implement in FPGA.
  9. Motivate their students to get exposure to Machine learning, Image processing, AI and benefits of implementing in custom logic FPGA.

All shortlisted candidates are required to confirm their participation by sending a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- in favor of “The Principal, KIT, Tiptur”. The above amount will be refunded to the participant after valedictory function.
Completed registration form should be sent to us through E-mail: aictefdp@kittiptur.ac.in on or before 1st July, 2019. The number of participants will be limited. The selection will be based on first come first serve basis. The selected applicants will be intimated by E-mail on or before 10th July, 2019.
