On 23rd February 2026, the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Incubation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IIEDC) of Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur, organized an academic and innovation-focused visit to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

Twelve student innovators presented five projects at IISc:

• EcoPulse Tree for Pollution Control
• Moss Curtains – Natural Air Filtration System
• Hemp Sachet – Sustainable Packaging Material
• AI-Based Deepfake Detection System
• StepSync Energy – Mechanical Footfall to Electrical Power Conversion

The students received mentorship from Srinivas M. Jamkhandi (Project Scientist, MSME Centre of Excellence, IISc) and Dr. H. N. Suma (Professor, BMS College of Engineering). The visit provided invaluable exposure to cutting-edge research and offered the student innovators expert guidance to refine and advance their projects.
