On 29th September 2026, the Department of MBA, Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur, organized a Hands-on Workshop on “Innovation, Prototyping and Product Commercialization” at the AICTE IDEA Lab, providing MBA students with practical exposure to innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Siddalinga Prasad, Coordinator, and Dr. Shivakumar Hadimani, Co-Coordinator, AICTE IDEA Lab, explained the facilities and demonstrated various machines, tools and advanced equipment available in the laboratory.
The workshop enabled students to understand how innovative ideas can be transformed into functional prototypes, market-ready products and commercially viable startups. The resource persons highlighted the significance of design thinking, product development, testing, market feasibility and interdisciplinary collaboration in building successful entrepreneurial ventures.
Dr. Deepthi Amith, HoD, Department of MBA; Dr. Mitta Sekhara Gowd, Professor, Department of MBA; and all MBA faculty members were present during the workshop and encouraged students to explore innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
The workshop offered valuable experiential learning, bridging the gap between management education, technological innovation and business commercialization.
