Ministry of Education Policy

National Innovation and Startup Policy

Empowering Students, Faculty, and Staff in Innovation & Entrepreneurship

About NISP

The National Innovation and Startup Policy 2019 is a guiding framework launched by the Ministry of Education on September 11, 2019 at AICTE, New Delhi. It aims to enable engineering colleges and Higher Education Institutions to actively engage students, faculty, and staff in innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities.

KIT has implemented NISP to promote student-driven innovations, build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem, and foster partnerships with ecosystem enablers at regional, national, and international levels.

The policy provides a comprehensive framework for institutions to create an environment that nurtures innovation, supports startups, and bridges the gap between academia and industry.
