NAIN 2.0 Workshop and Institution’s Innovation Day Celebration at KIT Tiptur
On 15 October 2026, Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur, organised a One-Day Workshop on Prototype Design, Development, Fabrication and Testing for NAIN 2.0 Projects under the New Age Innovation Network (NAIN) 2.0, in association with the AICTE IDEA Lab, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and Department of MBA, at the MBA Seminar Hall. The programme marked Institution’s Innovation Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
The resource person, Smt. Shylaja Vittala, Proprietrix, Dharma Technologies, Tumakuru, highlighted Dr. Kalam’s inspiring contributions to science and innovation. She expressed happiness that the project-wise discussions were taking place on his birth anniversary, making the occasion especially meaningful. She encouraged students to honour his vision by pursuing their ideas with curiosity, dedication and perseverance.
Smt. Shylaja Vittala held detailed discussions with each project team individually, examining the proposed technologies, their advantages and limitations, fabrication requirements, necessary modifications and the steps for carrying each project forward. Drawing on her industry experience, she explained the difficulties encountered while transforming ideas into functional prototypes and guided students on addressing practical challenges in development and testing. She expressed happiness at the students’ keen interest, curiosity and active participation.
Dr. Mitta Sekhara Gowd, District Innovation Associate (DIA) – NAIN 2.0 and Head – Incubation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development (IIED), facilitated the project-wise interactions and guided students in refining their ideas and implementation plans. He explained suitable funding opportunities, where to apply and the application procedures for additional innovative projects, helping teams identify clear next steps for further development.
Dr. H. C. Sateesh Kumar, Principal, spoke about the inspiring life and contributions of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, highlighting his dedication to science, innovation and nation-building. He explained the significance of Institution’s Innovation Day and encouraged students to follow Dr. Kalam’s ideals of curiosity, perseverance, scientific thinking and learning from failures. He urged them to translate their knowledge and creative ideas into practical innovations that benefit society.
Dr. Raviprakash M. L., NAIN 2.0 Coordinator, coordinated the programme and emphasised systematic project execution, teamwork and follow-up on the technical suggestions received. Dr. Deepthi Amith, Head, Department of MBA, conveyed her wishes to the student teams for the successful development of their projects.
Dr. Shakunthala, Prof. Kruthika S. Kumar, Prof. Hamsalekha S., Prof. Rachana S., Prof. Eswaraiah K. S. and Prof. Ajay C. K. were present.
Outcomes: Each NAIN project was discussed individually with its team, helping students assess technology choices, understand their advantages and limitations, identify necessary design modifications and refine the implementation process. Six additional projects beyond NAIN 2.0 were discussed in detail, including suitable development approaches and funding application procedures. Students gained clarity on the practical steps required to carry their projects forward towards functional prototypes.

15 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2026ರಂದು, ತಿಪಟೂರಿನ ಕಲ್ಪತರು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯೂ ಏಜ್ ಇನೋವೇಶನ್ ನೆಟ್‌ವರ್ಕ್ (NAIN) 2.0 ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, AICTE IDEA Lab, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಪರಿಷತ್ (IIC) ಮತ್ತು MBA ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, MBA ಸೆಮಿನಾರ್ ಹಾಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ “NAIN 2.0 ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಮಾದರಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ” ಕುರಿತ ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಡಾ. ಎ. ಪಿ. ಜೆ. ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ತುಮಕೂರಿನ ಧರ್ಮ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜೀಸ್‌ನ ಮಾಲೀಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲಜಾ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ಅವರು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಡಾ. ಕಲಾಂ ನೀಡಿದ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆತಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸದ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕುತೂಹಲ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರ ಆಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲಜಾ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಯೋಜನಾ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ವಿವರವಾದ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಆಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿರುವ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಅದರ ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಿತಿಗಳು, ತಯಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಅಂಶಗಳು, ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುವ ಹಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಅನುಭವದ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಮಾದರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವಾಗ ಎದುರಾಗುವ ಅಡಚಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ, ಕುತೂಹಲ ಮತ್ತು ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಡಾ. ಮಿಟ್ಟಾ ಶೇಖರ ಗೌಡ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಸಹವರ್ತಿ (DIA) – NAIN 2.0 ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು – ಇನ್‌ಕ್ಯುಬೇಷನ್, ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ (IIED), ಅವರು ಯೋಜನೆವಾರು ಸಂವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಲು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ನವೀನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಅನುದಾನದ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು, ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ದಿಕ್ಕು ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಚ್. ಸಿ. ಸತೀಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಡಾ. ಎ. ಪಿ. ಜೆ. ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ಡಾ. ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರ ಆದರ್ಶಗಳಾದ ಕುತೂಹಲ, ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಫಲ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕಲಿಯುವ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರಗಳಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
NAIN 2.0 ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ರವಿಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಎಂ. ಎಲ್. ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿ, ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ, ತಂಡದ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿದರು. MBA ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ದೀಪ್ತಿ ಅಮಿತ್ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳು: ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು NAIN ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ, ಅದರ ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಿತಿಗಳು, ವಿನ್ಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ಪಡೆದರು. NAIN 2.0 ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಆರು ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಸೂಕ್ತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಮಾದರಿಗಳತ್ತ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
